6 days from today.

First charge: Thursday, October 8, 2026

Most websites charge on the day the trial ends, so cancel at least a day before. Always check the exact end date in your account — some services count from the time you signed up, not the date.

Why the cancel-by date isn't the end date

A trial "ending" on the 8th usually means the first charge happens on the 8th, so the last safe day to cancel is the 7th. App stores add their own margin. Appleasks you to cancel "at least 24 hours before the trial ends", and Google Playmay put a payment hold on your card up to 48 hours before billing starts. That's why this calculator tells you to cancel two days early for app-store trials and one day early for everything else.

One trial is easy. Five at once is how charges slip through

The calendar reminder covers a single trial. If you're testing several streaming services, an AI tool and a fitness app at the same time, keep them in one list. Subgrove tracks every subscription for free (up to 5) with a reminder before each renewal, and Pro adds free-trial tracking with a cancel-by alert before the first charge. For the full playbook, read how to never pay for a forgotten free trial or compare free-trial tracker apps.

Questions

When does a 7-day free trial end?
Usually seven days after the day you started: a trial started on the 1st charges on the 8th. Some services count from the exact time you signed up, so check the end date shown in your account and cancel at least a day before it.
When does a 1-month free trial end?
On the same date next month — a trial started on 10 March ends on 10 April. If the next month is shorter, it ends on that month's last day (a trial started 31 January ends 28 or 29 February).
How long before the end of an App Store trial do I need to cancel?
Apple says: "If you signed up for a trial subscription and you don't want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends." Cancelling two days before leaves a safe margin.
When do I have to cancel a Google Play free trial?
Google says to cancel before the trial period expires, and that a payment authorization hold may be placed up to 48 hours before the next billing period (up to 5 days in India or Brazil). Cancelling two days before avoids the hold.
